Self Catering Cottages
Our self catering accommodation consists of six adjoining cottages, all sympathetically restored to a high standard whilst retaining the character and personality of the original farm buildings.
Each cottage has stunning views of the lake and fells and shares a picnic terrace. Situated on the farm, the cottages are a a short walk to the Farmhouse where the cafe, restaurant, bar and farm shop are located.

The Loft - sleeps 2
Once the Farm Hayloft “The Loft” is a one bedroom cottage, it is unusually an upside down house, allowing the living space to enjoy the views over the lake and mountains.
The entrance leads you into the utility room, ideal for abandoning damp clothes and muddy boots. On the ground floor there is a generous super king bedroom (or twin) and adjoining bathroom with overhead shower can be found.
The first floor has a double height ceiling with fantastic views, exposed oak beams and slate stonework, this room is open plan and contains the kitchen, living room and dining area, made even more fabulous with a wood burner!
Beckfoot - sleeps 4
Beckfoot is one of the five adjoining cottages. As you enter the cottage on the ground floor there is a hallway ideal for dumping coats and boots, followed by an open plan kitchen/dining/living room complete with open log fire and floor to ceiling double patio doors that lead on to the terrace that boasts of stunning views of Coniston Water and Coniston Old Man.
Beckfoot cottage has two bedrooms upstairs, one double and a small twin bedroom both with lake views and a family bathroom with overhead shower.
Wynmoor - sleeps 4 (+1)
Wynmoor boasts of a spacious kitchen with open plan dining and lounge areas (with a traditional log fire) that lead on to the terrace that also have sensational views of Coniston Water and Coniston Old Man.
Upstairs, Wynmoor has one double bedroom with spectacular lake views and a twin bedroom, both rooms share a family bathroom with overhead shower.
The Stables - sleeps 5 (+1)
The Stables as the name suggests was originally where the horses were kept and enjoys stunning views over Coniston Lake towards the fells of Coniston Old Man and the Langdale valley.
Arranged over three floors this cottage has three bedrooms and two bathrooms comfortably accommodating up to five guests. Off the entrance hall on the ground floor are two bedrooms, one single and one that can be a double or twin, they share the ground floor shower-room. On the first floor is an airy open plan kitchen/dining/living room with a patio door and steps leading down on to the picnic terrace. The second floor has the master bedroom complete with ensuite bathroom, walk in wardrobe and four poster bed.
The Barn - sleeps 16
As the name suggests “The Barn” was a 19th Century Bank Barn with the animals below. It is a fantastic "cottage" ideal for social gatherings with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms and open plan living makes it an ideal venue!
The Barn is arranged over three floors and comprises of six bedrooms and four bathrooms. Multiple combinations of doubles/twins/triples/quadruples can be arranged. On the ground floor there is an en-suite double and 2 further rooms, that can be either doubles or twins, sharing a bathroom with overhead shower. The first floor contains a spacious open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge area with windows to 3 sides providing awesome panoramic views across the lake. From the dining area there are large patio doors with steps down to the picnic terrace and BBQ.
The second floor comprises of three further bedrooms, two of which are family rooms with double or twin beds and a single bed, in which a further single bed can be added. The last room can be either a double or twin room. Two of the bedrooms share a bathroom with overhead shower and one of the family rooms has an en-suite shower room.
The Farmhouse - sleeps 17
The Farmhouse, built in the 15th Century, is run as a guesthouse from Easter until November and then let on a self catering basis from November until Easter.
The Farmhouse has six individually furnished bedrooms ensuite bedrooms. One family room comprising of double and adjoining room with twin beds. Three rooms comprising of a double and single bed and two rooms are doubles.
Downstairs there is a large farmhouse kitchen with commercial appliances and the all important AGA. There are two dining rooms, one with a log fire and two lounges; again one has a log fire. Further to this there is a bar area as well as extensive gardens.
